Probation Information

TRACKING YOUR CASE
It is suggested that you sign up for e-mail notifications for your case. The system will then notify you of changes to your case, including filings which occur going forward.

To sign up, search Casenet, search by your name or case number, and find the “track your case” option on the main/case header page. You must do this for each case you would like to track.

REPORTING REQUIREMENT
If you received Court-Ordered probation or are in a deferral program, you are (most likely*) required to notify our office of any adverse law enforcement contact. You must contact us via email within 72 hours of the event; you must include:
-your name,
-the date of the incident,
-the location/police agency, and
-a brief synopsis.
The submission needs to be made to: CityPA@OzarksLG.com Failure to report is, in itself, a violation of your probation. (*see your probation order for details.). We will send a timely response and/or additional questions. It is important, for your benefit, that you save proof of all emails sent.

PROGRAMS AND SUBMITTING PROOF
If you were required to submit proof of completion for programs/items such as:
-performing community service (FORM: Click here)
-completing SATOP,
-obtaining a valid license,
-taking a driving class, and/or
-paying restitution,
you should make a timely submission to the prosecutor’s office at: CityPA@OzarksLG.com Be sure to include your name and case number. (Alternatively, your attorney may e-file these items to your case.) Items not received by the imposed deadline will result in a probation violation.

VIEWING YOUR PROBATION ORDER
If you would like to view your probation order, it is generally available on Casenet; search by name or case number, and find the items scanned to your case at/about the date of sentencing. ONLY if you cannot find your probation order online, you may reach out to us or the court for a copy.

UPDATING YOUR ADDRESS
It is YOUR responsibility to contact the court clerks and update your mailing address if the address on Casenet is out-of-date. Notices, such as hearing notices and changes of dates, will be mailed to the address on your Casenet Case. You must have the clerks change the address for EACH case that is active/pending/in probation status.

VIOLATION HEARINGS
If you fail to meet deadlines, commit new offenses, or have other probation violations, the prosecutor may request the Court revoke your probation. Generally, a notice of violation and hearing is sent to the mailing address on your case; a copy of the notice is also e-filed to your case. It is important to read and obey any notices.

While some notices will offer a short grace period to fix a missing item (such as a class), you must appear on the date/time noted unless the court assigns you another date and/or this office (in writing) advises the hearing is cancelled. You may wish to bring an attorney with you to assist in the proceedings. If you fail to appear, the judge will likely issue a warrant.

Restitution Information

Restitution for KIMBERLING CITY cases is collected by the City Clerk, Laura Cather, at Kimberling City Hall during normal office hours.

Restitution for GALENA MUNICIPAL cases is collected by the Galena City Hall during normal office hours.

Once FULL payment is made as per your restitution order, you must supply our office with the proof of full payment from City Hall.  Email proof to us at: CityPA@OzarksLG.com, along with your name and case number.

Failure to e-mail proof that restitution was paid in-full and on time will likely result in a probation violation or other court action.
